Description

This course will examine the family in the larger social context examining how history, law, policy and reproductive technologies, have contributed to the changing family. Marriage, divorce, and parenthood will be explored in the context of current laws and policies. Additional topics will include, surrogacy, adoption, foster care, domestic violence, child abuse, immigration, poverty and race. Academic research is combined without of classroom assignments.
