Registration Information

Spring Semester Classes Begin: Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

  • Last Day to Register for a Spring Semester Class: Monday, January 25, 2021.
  • Online registration in LEO for undergraduates is open to add classes through January 18, 2021 with the advisor approval process.  To drop a class please use the Schedule Change Form.
  • Graduate online registration is open through January 18, 2021.
  • Returning Students registering after December 1, 2020 will be charged a $165 late fee.

Course Modality Information (aka How is the course being taught):

Definitions to know:

  • Face to Face - on campus in the classroom
  • Blended/Hybrid - part in the classroom, part online
  • Online Synchronous - online live interaction with the faculty in Zoom or Google Meets at an assigned time
  • Online Asynchronous - online in Leo without live scheduled interaction with the faculty
  • HyFlex - student choose face to face or online synchronous/asynchronous for each class period based on parameters set by the faculty member

How to tell in LEO which modality is assigned to a specific class:

There are two ways:

1. Use the Advanced Course Search Function.  The Method will allow you to search and filter by a type, example: Face to Face.


2. When reviewing the Course listing, click on the specific course for details.  It will show at the top right of the information box.

Course Transfer Guide

ATTENTION STUDENTS: Do you plan to register for a class offered at another institution?

All classes taken as transient work must be approved prior to registering for the class. Please stop by the Registrar's Office to obtain appropriate paperwork to be granted approval to register for a transient class. 

Steps to apply for Transient Coursework:

  1. Student meets with his/her faculty academic advisor to discuss courses and identify potential LEC requirements needed that may be fulfilled by transient work.
  2. Student reviews the courses available at the institution he/she plans to attend. 
  3. Student completes the Transient Student Form and obtains the faculty academic advisor's signature. 
  4. Student submits the request to the LEC Registrar's Office for review. The Registrar's Office will contact the student by email once the form has been reviewed. If approved, the form will be returned to the student for use during registration at the planned institution.

Campus Response Information



Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II) Application

Lake Erie College has received federal funding made available by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA). This emergency fund was created to help students in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  This application is open to:

                Currently enrolled, undergraduate, degree seeking students

                Citizen or eligible non-citizen

                Students with a 2020-2021 valid FAFSA on file with Lake Erie College

 Students who have been affected by the pandemic and have emergency needs

This grant can be used toward any component of your cost of attendance (tuition, fees, housing, food, books and course materials, transportation) or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus such as technology, health care, mental health care or child care. 

Priority is given to students with exceptional need (Pell grant eligible).

Applications will be reviewed on a continual basis and grants will be awarded until the HEERF II fund is depleted. 

The first review and deadline is February 8,2021.

Professional Development students must log in and use the Pay Must Pay Course option on the Professional Development Tab, Register and Pay. 

Payments made without logging it take a minimum of 2 business days for processing.  eChecks may take up to a week for processing to post to a student account.
