Description

This course consists in part of an examination of common fallacies and patterns of thinking that lead to errors, and how to counter those mistakes. The critical thinking methods and problem solving techniques will then be applied to a range of contemporary controversial issues, both nationally and globally. Issues will be examined from a variety of viewpoints, and possible solutions will be discussed while employing the tools developed by various philosophers and scholars of critical thinking.
