Assumes a familiarity with accounting systems
and the preparation of financial statements. The
following concepts are covered: management?s
role in cost development; cost accounting systems;
cost accumulation, including activity-based costing;
budgeting; and cost-behavior analysis, including
cost-volume profit analysis and standard cost and
variance analysis.
