Description
The aim of this course is to provide students with the tools they need to effectively learn the introductory concepts of nutrition and apply them to their daily lives. Students will learn and appreciate how the foods they eat affect their bodies and their overall health. Topics covered will include macronutrients, micronutrients, fluid balance, achieving and maintaining a healthy weight and body composition through healthy eating, nutrition recommendations throughout the life cycle, and food safety.
