Description
This course discusses the theoretical foundation of physical activity behavior change. Students will learn how to analyze a client’s current physical activity behaviors, motivation, and resource availability. Students will develop specific knowledge to optimize client adoption and adherence to exercise and other healthy behaviors through effective communication. Topics such as active listening, communication modes, motivational interviewing, and enhancement of environmental factors will be discussed.
