Pre-Requisite(s): SP 201 with a C- or better, or permission of the instructor
Service Learning courses are designed to unite classroom theory and practice with an intended purpose of promoting a more just and compassionate world while creating mutually beneficial relationships with our surrounding community. CBL experiences allow students the opportunity to leave their comfort zone while gaining a greater understanding of Hispanic culture, honing in on communicative language skills, and providing valuable resources to the community. Service Learning hours will be preceded by selected readings and reflected upon in follow-up meetings. All meetings will take place in Spanish.
