Description

This course asks students to regard critical thinking not only as a set of skills that can be honed, but also as a disposition or mental habit that can be increasingly internalized with practice. Though the specific topic of the course will be determined by the instructor, students can expect to practice asking meaningful questions, originating answers, evaluating and synthesizing evidence, and interrogating their own underlying assumptions, all with the aim of developing their personal aptitudes for curiosity, engagement, persistence, open-mindedness, and metacognition.
