Students will become familiar with instructional strategies and the appropriate use of technology in teaching mathematical concepts. An understanding of the spiraling nature of presenting those concepts will be developed. An emphasis on assessing the mathematical understanding of each child through the use of real-life problems. While reviewing national and state standards, students will learn to teach mathematical concepts in a hands-on setting. Students will use the Ohio Academic Content Standards to frame mathematics instruction.
