Description

Research shows that when students self-regulate they do better emotionally, academically and socially.
This course follows ODE’s Social-Emotional Competencies of Self-Awareness and Self-Management
while focusing on the standard, regulating emotions and behaviors by using thinking strategies that are
consistent with brain development. This course will guide you through researching benefits, provide an
abundance of strategies and digital resources, as well as, help you find the time to encourage mindful
thinking within your classroom. These mindful strategies will help all students, typical students, as well as,
students with ADHD, anxiety, on the Autism spectrum, and social-emotional problems.
