Description

This intermediate course will focus on further developing student's yoga practice and understanding of yogic philosophy. Students will engage in intermediate level asanas (yoga poses), meditation, and pranayama (breathing techniques). The intermediate level course will also examine yogic philosophy in regards to modern life. Examination of the history and evolution of yoga will be discussed. Students will develop their yoga practice by attending class, practicing regularly on their own, and maintaining a journal reflecting on learning and progress. Students will also explore the benefits of yoga for physical, mental, and emotional health and reflect on this in their own practice.
