Description

Students will work on individual or collaborative research projects under the guidance of a faculty mentor, directly contributing to ongoing scientific investigations. Students are expected to conduct background research, complete the IRB process as appropriate, develop a research plan, demonstrate proficiency in relevant instrumentation, troubleshoot experimental challenges, adhere to all safety standards, and effectively communicate research progress and findings in both written and oral formats. This course cultivates essential laboratory skills, critical thinking within an experimental context, and the collaborative spirit of scientific research.
