We provide 4 types of courses:

Face to Face Courses

In the fall face to face courses take place Friday from 5- 9 pm and Saturday from 8 am-5 pm*. Each Face to Face course is worth ONE Graduate Semester Hour/Credit Hour and is offered once a semester.

Courses may be taken for a Letter Grade or Pass/Fail. At the conclusion of Day One the grading preference must be confirmed on the Class List. After that point, the grading preference CAN NOT be modified.

Students have two weeks from the completion of the course to EMAIL their assignment directly to their faculty. Faculty have two weeks to grade the assignment and post the grade on LEO. It is the student's responsibility to confirm that that the faculty received your final assignment.

Once all of a student's grades for the semester have been submitted an official transcript will automatically be sent to the home address. This takes place within the business week after the grade is posted.

a) AUDITS: ODE will not accept Audit courses for license renewal. However, educators may choose to audit Face to Face courses and still will receive an official transcript upon completion.  The assignment is not required as an Audit. Please contact the Director of Professional Development at 440-375-7379 or email She will register you for class. Tuition is $150.

b) DROP/ADD A COURSE: If a student needs to be removed from a course (due to a scheduling conflict etc.) and be placed in another course they must notify the office least two weeks before the initial course runs. We will make the adjustment in LEO and the student will receive an email confirming the update.

c) PERSONAL EMERGENCY The Center for Leadership and Professional Development must be contacted via email or phone before the class begins informing us of an emergency/last minute cancellation. Non-attendance of a Face to Face course will result in the grade of an F.

d) COLLEGE INITIATED CANCELLATION: In the instance we must cancel a course due to low enrollment or an issue beyond our control (weather, power outage) we will be happy to enroll the student in another course offered the SAME semester or issue a refund. We will promptly refund tuition when the canceled registration was initiated by the College (We call and email each student enrolled in the course that is canceled).

Once it has been selected it can not be modified except in exceedingly rare circumstances due to district/ODE requirements (please contact Director). Please note: A grade of Pass is equivalent to a grade of C or higher. Please refer to the syllabus for the specific grading scale/rubric (pg 39, 2017-18 Undergraduate Academic Catalog and Student Handbook).

Online courses vary from 1 to 3 Semester/Credit Hours. Individual grades will be posted in LEO and will be seen immediately. Once all of a student's grades for the semester have been posted the College will automatically send one official transcript to the home address. See the "Request a Transcript" tab for more details.

STUDENT INITIATED TRANSFER ENROLLMENT/CANCELLATION: Once coursework has begun a refund will not be issued. If the coursework has not begun you may contact our office and we will transfer you to another course offered during the SAME semester. Once you enroll in a course it must be completed. If a course remains in an ungraded state at the end of the semester for whatever reason a FAILING grade will be assigned.
